Copper (Boiler)

The copper (or boiler) is similar to the HLT. It is made from the same type of 33L stock pot. The stockpot was modified in the same way as the HLT to accommodate a ½ inch Stainless Steel ball valve and a 2.2KW heating element. The same type of heating element was used, i.e. taken from a Tesco value kettle. |

| Originally the hop filter was made just from 15mm copper pipe, with 3mm holes drilled in it. This worked OK but to improve the filter I've added the stainless steel mess as you see in the photo. This is the mesh used. mesh |
